Middle School Lesson Plan

Teacher Exemplar

A SOCIAL JUSTICE LESSON PLAN ABOUT ACCESS

Helping 8th grade students connect art to issues they care about brings greater purpose and meaning to their lives. Students can express their concerns about themselves and the world around them. Big Ideas are ways middle-school students can explore these ideas through a variety of art mediums.

IDEATION

Students will use brainstorming, sketching, writing, and material exploration  to create an original work of art that is reflective of the big idea of access.
